You can sign up with email/password, Google or Apple Sign-In. You can also start as a guest and create an account later without losing your progress.
Go to Profile → Edit and pick a unique username. Availability is validated in real time. You can change it once every 30 days.
On the sign-in screen tap "Forgot your password?". We will email you a reset link. If you signed up with Google/Apple, sign in with that same provider.
Go to Settings → Account → Delete account. This action is irreversible and erases your progress, gems and active subscriptions. You can also request deletion by writing to us.
Yes, as long as you are signed in. Your progress syncs automatically with Firestore so you can continue on another device. In guest mode data stays on the device only.
Premium, Pro Max, gems and refunds.
Eligible plans may show a 7-day free trial from the App Store the first time you activate them. Availability is confirmed by Apple during purchase. You can cancel from iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
Subscriptions are managed through Apple. Go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions → SyntaxQuest → Cancel. You keep access until the end of the paid period.
Refunds are handled by Apple, not directly by us. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID and select the purchase. If Apple approves it, we will automatically move your plan back to Free.
Wait 1–2 minutes and restart the app. If they still do not appear, go to Profile → Restore purchases. If it keeps failing, contact us with the transaction ID (you will find it in Apple's receipt email).
Premium unlocks selected advanced courses and features, unlimited lives, an ad-free experience and monthly Guided Learning quotas. Pro Max includes the entire catalog, a larger AI quota, guided free-topic mode and visual perks inside the app. Current prices and trials are shown in the App Store before you confirm.
Open the paywall in the app and select Pro Max. Apple handles the plan change and any applicable billing adjustment.
Yes. Sign in with the same Apple ID, open SyntaxQuest and go to Profile → Restore purchases. Your subscription and gems will be reactivated.

JavaScript, SQL, HTML/CSS and Python run locally on your device. Java, Swift, Kotlin, C++ and C# require a connection (they use Judge0 CE in the cloud). If it fails, check your connection.
Yes. SyntaxQuest works on iPhone (iOS 17+), iPad and has an Apple Watch companion with streak reminders. It also includes home screen widgets.
Courses bundled in the app can be marked as available offline. If you complete actions without a connection, SyntaxQuest queues them locally and tries to sync when you are back online.
Write to us and we will reply within 48 business hours. Include your iPhone model, iOS version and a detailed description of the issue.
